Tools Menu

Use the Tools menu in the Main Window to launch development tools supplied with the Sun WorkShop^TM programming environment. For more information, consult the tool-supplied documentation.

Note - What you see on the Tools menu is dependent on which products you purchased and installed.

The tools supplied from the Tools menu are:

Analyzer

New Opens the Analyzer Window so you can load an experiment into the Performance Analyzer.
Open Opens a dialog box where you can navigate to an experiment to load into the Performance Analyzer. Selecting an experiment opens the Analyzer window and loads the experiment.
Experiment list Lists experiments previously loaded into the Performance Analyzer. Selecting an experiment opens the Analyzer window and loads the experiment.
Remove Experiments From Menu Opens a dialog box where you can select and remove one or more experiments from the Analyzer submenu.

Merging

Opens the Merging window and a dialog box to select text files to compare.

Building

: Opens the Building Window.

TeamWare

(Available with Forte^TM C++ and Forte for High Performance Computing)

Opens Sun WorkShop^TM TeamWare code management tools.

Sun WorkShop Visual

(Available with Forte C++)

New Opens the Sun WorkShop Visual window.
Open Displays a submenu listing designs previously loaded into Sun WorkShop Visual. Selecting a design from the list opens a dialog box where you can select a design to open.
Design list Lists designs previously loaded into Sun WorkShop Visual.
Remove Designs From Menu Opens a dialog box where you can select and remove one or more designs from the Sun WorkShop Visual submenu.

New	Opens the Analyzer Window so you can load an experiment into the Performance Analyzer.
Open	Opens a dialog box where you can navigate to an experiment to load into the Performance Analyzer. Selecting an experiment opens the Analyzer window and loads the experiment.
Experiment list	Lists experiments previously loaded into the Performance Analyzer. Selecting an experiment opens the Analyzer window and loads the experiment.
