You can open multiple frames or buffers in your text editor.

To open a new frame in Vi or NEdit:

1. Click the Re-Usable Button at the bottom of the editor window.

2. Choose File New from the editor.

To open a new frame in XEmacs:

• Choose File Open in New Frame or File New Frame

A new frame opens displaying the same buffer as the original editor window.

To open a new frame in GNU Emacs:

• Choose File Make New Frame.

A new frame opens displaying the same buffer as the original editor window.

To open a new buffer in Vim:

• Choose Window Split.

The current window splits in two; both windows show the same file.
