Debugging the Current Program

Use the Debug New Program Dialog Box to identify a program to Sun WorkShop. From now on, the program is remembered in the current project and you can select it from the picklist.

To debug a new program:

1. In the Sun WorkShop main window or the Debugging Window, choose Debug New Program.

2. In the Debug New Program Dialog Box, select the executable you want to debug and click OK.

In the Program Information pane, you can also:

• Type command-line arguments in the Arguments text box. See Specifying Program Arguments for more information.
• Click the Run Directory button to open the Run Directory Dialog Box, where you can assign a new directory in which to run the program. See Specifying a Run Directory for more information.
• Click the Environment Variables button to open the Environment Variables Dialog Box, where you can set environment variables for the program executable. See Setting Environment Variables for more information.
