Examining Multiple Build Jobs The dmake Command

Use this window to examine build processes running under dmake. By observing the graphic display in the dmake jobs display pane, you can troubleshoot build jobs and determine, for example, if a server is overloaded with jobs or which build processes are slower than expected. To open the Dmake Jobs Graph window, choose View Dmake Jobs Graph from the menu bar in the Building Window.

The graph identifies each build server. Build jobs are graphed in clusters per server. The graph shows the length of time each build takes. Each job is indicated in the graph by a line. The appearance of the line indicates whether the build is in progress (series of dots), has completed (solid), or failed (broken line segments).

The Dmake Jobs Graph window has the following components:
Build Menu (Dmake Jobs Graph Window) Provides commands for common build operations.
Options Menu (Dmake Jobs Graph Window) Provides commands to open a dialog box in which you can customize graph features (time display units, overall time axis interval, and graph update interval).
Dmake Jobs Graph Tool Bar Provides quick access to the Build and Stop Build commands.
Dmake Jobs Graph Display Pane Graphically displays the progress and status of dmake build jobs.
Dmake Jobs Output Display Displays build output information for selected jobs in the Job graph pane.
