Use the Attach Process dialog box to attach to a process running independently of Sun WorkShop.

Filter Text Box

Lets you type a search pattern to narrow your choices. When you click the Filter button, the processes that match the search pattern are listed.

Process List

Scrolling list that shows the active processes you own. Each entry includes the:

• User ID
• Process ID
• Parent process ID
• Start time
• Process utilization
• Terminal identifier
• Cumulative execution time
• Command name associated with each process

Program Pathname Text Box

Lets you type the name of the program associated with the selected process. Click the browse button to open a file chooser and select the program path name. If you leave this field empty, the program associated with the process loads automatically. However, you will not be able to use the Start command because the debugger does not know which program it's running.

Buttons

OK	Attaches to the selected process
Filter	Filters the processes in the Process list to show only those processes that match the search pattern in the Filter text box
Cancel	Closes the dialog box without attaching a process
Help	Displays help for the dialog box
