You can set an On Return From breakpoint to stop program execution each time a function returns to its call site.

To set an On Return From breakpoint:

1. In the Debugging Window, choose Windows Breakpoints or Execute Set Breakpoints.

2. If the Details pane of the Breakpoints window is not displayed, click the Add/Change Breakpoint button(the Add/Change Breakpoint window toggles to Hide Details).

3. Choose Event On Return From.

You have the option to type the function name.

• If you type a function name, the program suspends each time the function returns to its call site. This is not a temporary event.

• If you leave this field blank, the program suspends on the next return from the current function. CUSTOM is set to temp in the Option menu to notify you that this is a temporary event.

4. Choose Action Stop.

5. Click Add.
