Generating a Browser Database

The Browsing Options dialog box lets you specify:

• The cache directory (which contains files that the Sun WorkShop^TM programming environment automatically creates when you build an application)
• The configuration directory (which contains the configuration files generated by the Sun WorkShop programming environment and that you create manually)

To open the Browsing Options dialog box, choose Browse Show Browsing Options from the Browsing Window.

The Browsing Options dialog box has the following components:

Source Browsing Database Directory

The Source Browser Database Directory provides the following radio buttons that automatically set the SUNWS_CACHE_NAME environment variable:

Use Default Cache Directory	Allows you to choose the default cache directory (SunWS_cache). The Use Default Cache Directory is automatically selected when you open the dialog box if the SUNWS_CACHE_NAME environment variable is set to the name of a directory that does not exist.
Custom Cache Directory	Allows you to name a custom cache directory. If you select Custom Cache Directory, a text box displays that allows you to type the new directory name (cannot be a path name).

Directory Search File Directory

The Directory Search File Directory provides the following radio buttons that automatically set the SUNWS_CONFIG_NAME environment variable:

Use Default Config Directory	Allows you to choose the default config directory (SunWS_config). The Use Default Config Directory is automatically selected when you open the dialog box if the SUNWS_CONFIG_NAME environment variable is set to the name of a directory that does not exist.
Custom Config Directory	Allows you to name a custom config directory. If you select Custom Config Directory, a text box displays that allows you to type the new directory name (cannot be a path name).

Buttons

OK	Applies changes and closes the dialog box.
Apply	Applies changes without closing the dialog box.
Cancel	Closes the dialog box without applying changes.
Help	Displays help for this dialog box.
