Viewing the Source of a Pattern Search Match

Each match line in the Match Pane of the Browsing Window contains the name of the source file, the line number, and the text on that line. Matches are listed alphabetically by file name and then by line number.

To view the source of a match:

• Click on a match to open an editor window displaying the source file with the match highlighted in blue.

If an editor is not active, one is started automatically.

To view another match, use one of these methods:

• Choose Query Next Match.
• Choose Query Previous Match.
• Scroll through the matches, and click on the match you want.

The selected match becomes the current match. The source file in the editor window highlights the current match in blue with a match icon to the left of the line.
