Fixing a Failed Source Browsing Query
Related Topics:
To fix a failed source browsing query, do the following:
- 1. Look in the status message area at the bottom of the Browsing Window for an error message or search status message.
- 2. If the message footer reads No Matches found for string, check that you have typed the program-defined symbol correctly in the Match text box.
- 3. Check the directory listed in the Browsing window header to make sure it is the directory where the database resides (to change directories, see Changing Browsing Directories).
- All buttons and text fields are disabled when no database is found. A message displays when you change to a directory that does not contain a database. For information about databases, see Source Browsing Databases.
- 4. Check the Match, Type, and Scope pull-down menus and text boxes to make sure that your current search is not limited by the settings of a previous query.
