Versioning Defined

Versioning lets you check out and edit files. In the Versioning Window, each directory is represented by an icon showing a folder and each file is represented by an icon showing a piece of paper.
Note - Versioning shows only those files that have been checked in to Sun WorkShop TeamWare, or are already under SCCS version control. For more information about SCCS, see the Solaris Programming Utilities Guide, or the sccs man page.
With Versioning, you can:
- Move files under SCCS control (see Adding Files to an Existing Workspace)
- Check out and lock a version of a file for editing (see Checking Out a File)
