An event specification is used by the event management commands stop, when, and trace to specify an event of interest. It has the following general syntax:
keyword [ arg ] [ <modifier ... ]
The keyword specifies the kind of event; the most common being at and in. Certain events take additional arguments. Modifiers begin with - and may be applied to all event types.
