Opening Multiple Frames in an Editor

You can open a new or existing file in your preferred text editor in the following ways:

• From the text editor itself
• From the File Menu

To open a file from the text editor:

• Choose File Open from the editor's menu bar.

To open a new file from the Sun WorkShop main window:

1. Choose File New.

2. Type the name of the file you want to create.

3. Click OK.

A window in your preferred editor opens with the new file name in the mode line.

To open an existing file from the Sun WorkShop main window:

1. Choose File Open.

2. Select a file in the File to Open dialog box.

3. Click OK.

A file opens in a window of your preferred editor.

To change directories in the File to Open dialog box:

1. Click on a directory name in the File Filter list or type a directory name in the Name text box.

2. Click Update.
