The tool bar provides buttons that let you run programs in the debugger, take samples, or start The Performance Analyzer:

Start button. Runs the program in the debugger from the beginning of the code; same as choosing Collect Start.
Continue button. Runs the program in the debugger from the current location in the code; same as choosing Collect Continue.
New Sample button. Terminates the current sample and starts a new one (used if you are doing manual sample collecting); same as choosing Collect New Sample.
Analyzer button. Starts the Performance Analyzer; same as choosing Collect Analyze.
