Command Line Only Defaults

These defaults do not apply to Sun WorkShop Debugging, but they enable you to set dbx environment variables using the GUI. These defaults are saved in your .dbxrc file.

You can set defaults for command-line functions of dbx, including:

• The pretty print routine (see Using a Custom Pretty-Print Routine)
• Output flushing (see Automatically Flushing the File Descriptors of the Target Process)
• The maximum number of lines for list command output (see Setting the Maximum Lines of Output for the list command)
• Suppression of startup messages (see Suppressing the Startup Message)
• The default number of stack frames (see .Changing the Default Number of Stack Frames)
